Since our students should be encouraged to speak in English and listen to conversations, songs or watch videos in original version, I prefer them working on grammar on their own. This does not mean that, in my opinion, the teacher should not explain grammar or supervise this kind of practise, because a good grammar basis also contributes to being communicative competent. However, since working on grammar is generally an activity to be done individually, I like providing my students with links, exercises, etc, and check their work with them in tutorials or explaining the doubts they may have for the whole class.
